Final 2014 Post

Well, what a major post this is. If you're unaware as to why there are hardly any videos being uploaded or the frequency of my schedules, then read the important 'Original Update' below. Now that's that out of the way and you understand why I'm keeping YouTube a bare minimum: I can talk about what videos I have planned for when I can eventually make some.

Firstly, I've already uploaded a creepypasta themed video (see below) and furthermore a revisit video I'm going to upload on New Years Day. Finally and most importantly, the next Obvious Facts video is in development but of course won't be completed for a little while due to reasons I've mentioned below.

Other than that, there is not much else to bring up/talk about as I'm so busy with college and as I've said, keeping POLYHAX to one side for a good while. It'll always remain that special hobby that will show both achievement and experience as far as the arts, comedy and vidya go.

I would like to mention however that I am planning to start updates on my CV website and open up a YouTube channel under my real name. When I eventually do this, I will be able to keep POLYHAX updates content related and not as vlog like.

There's gonna be a lot of plans, New Years Resolutions for all of the both personal and profesional projects I have planned. And you can still keep informed by checking out @Xonarno Twitter. Though I hardly ever go on there, I'll try and arrange a time slot in the evening where I just tweet about what I have planned or what I am up to project wise.

I plan to make a New Years Day update about my ambition and evaluate my words of the proceeding year. This is the last update of the year and I'll post on the inception of the new year.

Here's the New creepypasta video if you haven't seen it already:

ORIGINAL UPDATE (5th December):

This update is extremely important to read, but don't assume I'm leaving YouTube because it's likely to continue in some aspects and not in others. If I had an ordinary outlook on this matter I would probably abolish everything I do YT wise but due to the rapid growth of the channel, I'm now feeling compelled to keep it alive.

Firstly, what a big year this has been, but I'll make further conclusion on that closer to the end of this year. For all that I have to post, I feel it's more necessary to make a video update this Christmas regarding next year for those who are too lazy to read what I have to say but want to hear it anyway. This will be the second to last update before the end of the year or perhaps just the last update of this year ever. It's quite possible I won't get round to making another update before the end of the month but I still intend to make one on the 1st of January as part of my traditions.

The last time I properly updated was the 3rd of October 2014. I'm finding it hard to update for many reasons, one being because I'm almost always pretty knackered from college and it's been so long that doing this thing is just something I'm not used to. I've tried to update on several occasions before, but I've been so occupied that I don't have time to even tell people I'm busy. Back in the earlier times of this year and the preceding year; I would often be very busy and I would notify regularly about the problems I was facing. Now here comes a time where I don't even have time for that.

The entire point of these updates is for me to landmark a point where I am at so I don't get stuck in a maze; more solely it is so that I keep a journalistic recording of what I go through event and event again.

POLYHAX Reinvented

I've now completed construction of POLYHAX on both the YouTube channel and this website. As a result of organisation and optimisation, the channel is starving of frequency and available content. The Foolish Warlock is temporarily being excluded from POLYHAX as I bring focus on the greater qualities of ACID Journalism and Inactive TV where the emphasis is on a juxtaposition of informative analysis and abstract entertainment.

It's been two months since I last uploaded to POLYHAX YT and you can read both the previous POLYHAX updates and my past Twitter feed. Regardless, there are still the odd weekly spare occasions where I can put work into my ventures.

A new Obvious Facts video is in development which regardless of the past two month drought is better than absolutely nothing at all.

Construction Finalisation

Today I hope to be finalising all the layouts and construction changes with POLYHAX. I plan to finish both the video sorts outs and  thumbnails. This way I can finally tidy up everything and not have anymore of this to worry about- no more mess.

POLYHAX - Major Content Closure

Don't get too hung up on the title because it's important to read what I'm about to say...

How long has it been? It's the 8th of October as I write this. A entire month has gone by since the last update and I've been so out of touch with this site and my channel that I thought I'd end up abandoning it all with little notification. Did I expect to be in a situation like this so soon? This was all deliberate for the very reason that my education/life comes galaxies before else as I've said countless times before; but it's bigger this time.

I've been so occupied that I can hardly gather my own thoughts together and my own thoughts, plans about all else have been fading away. My mind feels like heavy bricks, I can't even remember what I was thinking about a month ago. It's going quickly but at the same time, so much has happened that the summer feels a whole year ago.

I have had such bare spare time that I could hardly tweet about how it was all going. I expected it to be rigorous, but not to the point of insanity where every bullet is firing at you. Because I missed two days and a whole weekend from going to a family wedding in Hungary, that was more than enough to create a dangerous snowball effect that has rendered me incredibly behind.

Believe me and I've said this so many times it's countless. While it's not definite that it will continue like this after the probationary period, it's sad but crystal clear that POLYHAX will have to end or enter a long hiatus.

That does not mean "No videos", it means "Little to no videos". I can't do countdowns/reviews anymore until perhaps one at Christmas or a stream and I can only just about do a stream or obvious facts video in the half term if I'm very lucky. But most importantly, I'd rather spend any bare time on my most relevant hobbies/ambitions such as my social network project: Peakner. So to keep my mind in a organised state it became a good idea to have one dedicated venture as opposed to several piles of unfinished mess

The POLYHAX channel and site are both in a bad mess from unfinished rebrandings. Such a task has become so beyond impossible now that I may as well withdraw right now. I studied extremely hard and I'm almost up to speed, but at the same time I felt depressed and stressed. I was having doubts. Do I really want to carry on like this? Do I want to drop out? Which was totally out of nature and went against all I had both worked and fought for. I was fed up. When two of my subject teachers suggested that I dropped the course, I gave them my ambition but at the same time I felt off put,

I envisioned my big dream again but at the same time dreaming beyond the work such work would take. I then realised that my actual issue was settling in, and when such a huge amount of pressure is dropped on you within the first few weeks I ended up feeling that my life had no meaning other than to do work. It was a big turn off. I felt like I was being thrown into the deep end.

I knew for definite that I would be totally making the wrong choice to drop out because there is no other pathway towards my dream other than a even longer and potentially more tedious one. It's then when I came to the philosophical conclusion that life really was just testing me to see if I could persist and prevail through obstruction, to challenge my determination. Even though I felt like crap during my two year GCSE period (2012-2014), I was still to apply time to fun regardless that I could barely post videos. But this time there is currently no time for any fun and hardly enough time to work. I gave up my entire weekend minus eating and sleeping to break down the work. The fact it's be dark, misty, rainy and gloomy hasn't helped either. I took a total break from my AS work for the second half of today in order to relax and refresh.

When there are hopefully more opportunities come for me to have spare time and have fun, I will repair and settle. I think the key is to just not dwell on my anxiety and focus on my determination; if time really does go quicker the busier and older you are then the whole experience won't be too much of a bumpy ride. If I look at this with the same outlook as my GCSE exams, then I can treat this more as another battle towards a great war.

I'm making a lot of new friends and I've come to the conclusion that stressful work is the only thing that's causing me to overlook that.

I know this isn't at all a POLYHAX update, but a vlog is a vlog I suppose.

I could go into more detail but this is enough info to gather the summary point:

I will do all the work I need to do until I am able to relax and when I am able to relax, I will put work towards my ventures. I only have another week and it's half term. Once I finalise everything, I can do whatever the hell I want for a week I just must make sure I use it wisely/make progress.

MEGA Update - Biggest Update Yet!

This update is extremely important to read. There is everything on this post that you need to know for everything to do with my projects as well as the next stage in my life. The inceptions of a new adventure. I have not updated since the verbal joy of the big victory and as so many descisions and ideas of mine have gone on since. By dissecting all there is to explain, I can eradicate confusion and establish my work as being conditional.

I'd first of all like to thank everyone who has supported me, the results if you can not already tell were amazing and everything has paid off. I'm moving onto the next stage of my life with neither fuss nor hassle. My summer has been potentially the best I've ever had and I've shared bucketloads of fantastic experiences, such as meeting friends family and livestreaming with you all for more than 10 hours in total! I've traveled to different parts of the country as well as going to Italy for a week!

There's no doubt I've felt depression from loosing track of the days and often wasting away time, but ultimately when I focus on a project or put my mind to something it puts me back onto the right track. Often I have to play some fast paced piano music or lift heavy objects to concentrate from the morning onwards.

I feel a lit happier now that I've found my focus and while I failed to morivate myself to make a new video before the Summer was out, I did upload a filler video of me and Alex. The day after this post was made is the day I start college and the fact I'll have a new Nephew in a couple of days time and again in October is very exciting as you can imagine.

The most important subject of the matter I need to stress is that ther will be NO frequency in making videos because of the even bigger dedication this and next year will require. I am doing the subjects I enjoy so it's a lot easier in that sense. Even though I got what I needed in the end, I have learned my lesson. I will only make videos when I can make videos, the ridiculous juggling I did from January to June makes me question how on bloody earth I managed it but here I am.

As you read this very post, I'm already looking tp unite Polyhax as a magazine based sote with all my other ventures. I'm really going to be breaking down and organising my ventures for greater effectivity. Tommorow a site redesign should take place and I'll wrap things up on a fluent note by also going back to watch my favourite TV series of all time: Merlin.

If you haven't noticed already, The Dreampeak Project name has now been finalised into "Peakner" after one of my brothers helped aqquire the domain name for me. We're looking to launch the new version of already existing site on a raspberry pi server.

I'm also looking to livestream again soon, seeing as it's a very chillaxed activity for me and I'm thinking of doing EoS again. Yes that's right, but with mostly 2 hour parts will mean a faster and more hearty meal of a playthrough, hopefully all the way to Destiny Tower eventually. I did feel bad as if you've noticed, I've privated all of my EoS/Platinum parts for having too inappropriate/immature humour. After being horrified by the gross/dark language I used in the playthrough and general bad quality, I slashed it alltogether abd the same may happen to my MC and MM playthroughs if they're equally bad.

I'm looking to cut down completely on exaggeration for TFW and kick off my new journalism show but that's a whole different story.

With that said I've pretty much said all there is to say here. I'm sorry for this post being insanely long. Thank you once again for all of you being awesome and I'll see you all again soon!

Kind regards

- John :-)

The Moment of Truth - The Update of All Updates

The time has come. Two years, more specifically the first half of 2014 that consisted of extremely hard work relating to my education. Every push. Every punch. Every fight. This is it. The answer to everything I have worked my ass off to and the entire reason why I've so unable to make videos for the most part of pre-June 2014. That day is tomorrow. I cannot believe it. The results. Will it be good? Will it be bad? But the answer is either a Yes or No. If I've got the grades I require; I'm in. I need 6 Cs and a B in Maths. If this is not the case, I will be delayed from doing 50% of what I want to do for another year. I'm recollecting it all, though I have kept it hidden. As I said a week of two again, that day of fate is to come and that day is on the verge of now. You know all that I've tweeted, commentated and blogged about the biggest situation in my whole life but what's happened has now happened. The side of myself that lives at the beginning of this year, I say "I've done your work and the future is being unveiled". He does not know what to expect from the results but he is working extremely hard. But he's totally unaware of it. While I found it extremely stressful and threw everything at it, it was still a very rewarding feeling for it to be all over and I do have some day ja vu of just sitting in the conservatory revising for days on end.

I've meant to update this site ages ago and the previous post before this one glitched out so the text wasn't saved. It was only a mini paragraph about practically nothing though so who cares? Either way, this is probably the greatest most important update of the year.

I could go on to talk and talk about what I'd do if I didn't get the good enough results or if I did get good enough results. But it's already happened and the very last scenario of the entire two years is when you know you're save. I don't know that it's over until I found out whatever the envelope seas and if it meets criteria.

For absence and respectfulness of this difficult day: there will be no videos tommorow and only speech from me as a person. It takes place between 10 and 12AM so it's first thing. Be sure to watch my Twitter: @7ohnarnold for the updates/insight and that's all. Adios and whatever happens does not change the fact I tried my hardest.

August Production Update and Vacation

Hey all; what better way to give you a big update before I go vacant from tomorrow to next Thursday. That's right from 2AM GMT tomorrow I will be  traveling to Italy with my family and I won't get back to everything video wise until Friday. I've been meaning to do this for the past week and it's only until now when it's bang at the last minute. I'd just like to say that the next TFW video is 75% to completion and while I could have got it uploaded before I go away I would hate to be absent from all the feedback and growth of the channel. I promise that this next TFW video will be inventive, original and the most elaborative yet; it's about 12 minutes long and has the potential to be a successful video.

I also want to state that while I'm away,  I plan to write a lot of script for the following episodes and plans for the videos after that. I expect of myself to produce new videos in a much more frequent fashion considering the time I have available now and what is left. I've already stressed that at College I'll be unable to create videos which require a lot of work and it'll mean yet more big changes for the channel to come. I'd say to produce TFW videos longer than 5 minutes would be out of the question let alone any at all. I want to be extremely dedicated this time around and if I create any new YouTube videos, they will only be accessible to make and made out of the bare minimum time I can afford. I do NOT want a repeat of what happened from 2013-2014, but I have to say that process felt it went quite quickly.

I'm going to be be focussing entirely on giving a more plentiful video experience, including journalism, The Dreampeak Projects development and my own personal career/publishing.
I don't want to reveal to much, but on the 13th of August I'm having a get together with a familiar figure.

Big TFW and DP Project Updates

I need an update, I need a cigar. That sort of concept. Two weeks of practical silence from me and I've felt horribly disconnected from everyone and everything as a result. Things like this make me feel depressed and I'm depressed because I have too much I want to do and yet I get nothing done all day then I find the next day I'm too busy. I've failed to update this website as regularly as I hoped and I feel as though I'm wasting away every day away like nothing. I'm even feeling too burnt to focus on updating this website and fulfilling the summer I worked the first half of this year towards.

I remember back in January 2014, fighting for my very education and determination for that long summer break awaiting me. That's what drove me and now I've realised that only when I am in workaholic mode am I able to do what I want to do. So it's time I went back into focus mode like any other day and apply break in the evening. Only can I do what I want if I focus and work hard towards it. I say it's time to kick some ass!

I've been almost unable to record for this week and potentially the next because of the big construction that's going on at my house. I'm concluding that I can only do so many TFW videos a week and if I'm unable to record, there's simply no other way I can until I'm able to.

In the meantime, I''m already working on the social network site from bare basics and it's the real thing: http://dreampeak.net16.net/

I will be additionally delivering updates and information on new features from the website via The Dreampeak BLOG, which you can click via this sites banner. The site will hopefully be at ALPHA dev by the time I create an official site and domain name.

I'll try update this site every day if I can.

Me and Alex are going to meet up in August, so expect some intense crap going about!

July Production Plans

So if you haven't seen my latest video, here it is:

I'm not going to be back until Saturday, so here's a big update to keep you all going.

This is how I'm gonna do these big types of updates from now on. By dissection:

In the Videos Department:

It was the initial plan of the end of June to create two potentially successful pokemon videos to try and kickstart the channel. One in InactiveTV and one in The Foolish Warlock; that was the framework. I did not want to do anything else until I could get at least two potential videos that could kickstart the channel when all else fails. The other (most requested) video was Sonic's Bane Part 2 which I'm now renaming "The Bad Sonic Games", simply for viewership reasons. While I wouldn't mind finishing that two part special, I've made it my first priority to have some successful videos. I'm looking more into the iOS market now, it's a spar which no youtuber has properly bathed in. I entered it with my Top 5 Worst Minecraft Clones and seeing as it's a big opportunity with the huge amount of bad iOS fraudware, I'm going to dive in those waters to create some AVGN NES based entertainment, except in my own style of course. I'm also looking to do retrospectives and research videos, as I feel these are also the way of TFW future.

By mid-September, I'll have a clear idea of whether I want to continue using YouTube and renewing my contract with Maker for another year. I'm also looking to begin organising my old content and blogs effectively.

In the Programming Department:

I'm looking to put dedication into my new social network project: Dreampeak, which is in very primitive development.

In the Films Department:

A new collaborative project with TotalHooper and TFW is to be shot sometime in August

In the Music Department:

They'll be some more piano music uploaded to the YouTube channel sometime soon, as well as music I'm of thinking of composing for a new game project (far future).

2014 Halfway Mark Analysis and NEWS

This post is the most IMPORTANT POST of this year, yet. Critical to read if you watch my videos. I haven't given you a proper update for nearly two weeks. I've been getting carried away with livestreaming Half Life 2 on YouTube through my HXN broadcasting site. I've meant to update properly for quite a few days, initially every other day. I think as we're almost exactly halfway through this year, I'd like to go through my critical plans rather than evaluating six months of nothingness.

My channel has suffered droughts in successful videos, unlike last year. I was occupied by my education, so this is no surprise. When I was able to upload or create content I would and not when I knew I shouldn't. To sum this half off, I canceled two playthroughs from lack of interest and proceeded in both my posts and content very arbitrarily. Not a single video I have created in 2014 has at all reached 1000 views. I don't expect highly, but I work to get higher. Expecting doesn't come into it, these are the figures. The decline in what I consider a successful video, needs to happen in order to keep the channel in shape. With Top 5 Best Pokemon Hacks slowly dying out at 104,000 views, I needed another lucky shot to keep the spar flowing. I'll give you some videos: Flappy Bird, Sonic's Bane P1, Top 50 RPGS P1, Browsing The Internet With Google Glass, Pokemon - The Death Note and Merlin Series Unboxed. Not a very good and consistent/effective line up of the year so far. In order for the channel remain at good value, successful videos need to drive. Was it US Walkthroughs that saved my channel last year? No, it was The Foolish Warlock.

Skip out this one paragraph, if you don't want a rant:
That wasn't the striking point though. It was when YouTube began massacring my own subscriber count on June the 18th. I lost 56 subscribers which were apparently old and closed accounts and 10 additional subs when I uploaded a video, some sort of glitch. Honestly what goes on in their thick skulls? Dead or alive, does it not occur to them that someone might have put a lot of effort in to find those subs?  Had it been worse, I would have either complained or just stopped using their pathetic website any longer. I think a lot of Maker partners on the RPM forums who are consisted of mostly small channels are downright  rude. I finally moved on when a friend of mine told me his experiences and it's a good conclusion to come to the point where you don't care for the attention some people on the internet are looking for. I'm not going to go down into my my views or opinions on Google, because I'll save that for when I actually stop using YouTube when that time eventually comes. I'll make that decision based on the progress of the site and also the progress of my own channel.

Let's get straight to the point. The news is that I plan to continue using YouTube until the end of 2014 unless it becomes completely unusable. If numbers get good, I'll carry on and if YouTube is still a place where I can host my content to my liking. Otherwise I'm going to just stop using the website altogether. If I get to the stage where I have to post one last video, I'll make sure it's a good one. I've made a vow never to use any type of message board ever again, I'm tired of encountering sick and stupid people on the internet. I feel tempted to send an email of complaint to sites which have bad service, but as a good friend told me, the internet is stupid so I therefore won't care.

I'm doing what I'm planning, I won't give news on that right now; but the one simple thing that needs to be said, has now been said.

Big Plans

You may have noticed today that a two part final special to finish EoS were both uploaded today. Tommorow night, we will upload the final episodes of MC and MM Playthroughs. The footage we have uploaded was already rendered and are the only surviving recordings of those respective playthroughs.

Currently, I'm in the process of organising all of the Ultrasnorlax content fully; by re-uploading or uploading the remaining videos on my computer as unlisted and FINALY concluding all of the playthroughs  as well as the star thumbnails we've designed.

I'm in the big process of reviewing every one of my videos, to check and rate my archive.

You may have noticed that we've changed the Ultrasnorlax logo/format and we've made the HXN show by replacing Mystery dungeon.

We'll give more details about all the new plans and revamp soon. YouTube has annoyingly disabled all of the content creator's shows. We don't know if it's a bug or deliberate, but we're hoping to maintain a replacement for YouTube when we eventually stabalise.

Unless things go terribly out of plan, we will continue to upload onto YouTube over this long summer. Tommorow, the next TFW video will be in the works.

As our descision to cancel doing walkthroughs on YouTube is because of major draught in viewership, we're finally decided to either continue this through live streaming or resume with our shift to ZIPPCAST.

We'll bring more news as things become more clear.

Thank's and keep cool

New Site Design and Projects

We've launched the new design of the website today to create a more transparent visual experience. The site is a gateway to all of our ventures such as our shows, campaigns, music, etc. We'll now be focusing on bringing newer entries and episodes to all of the productions we have announcced; including: Inactive TV (memes, parodies, mods and petitions), The Foolish Warlock (exaggerated game reviewing), Dreampeak (Our new social network in development), Zippcast Playthroughs (I've made my awesome TFW channel there!) and much more stuff!

Here's our leaflet card and production plan:

5/14 Vacancy (Hiatus)

Firstly don't fret; the site's not doomed. I, the founder of POLYHAX, JW Arnold and my other close associations are going to be vacant for nearly, if not an entire month to disconnect ourselves from the online world during May so we can focus entirely on our exams that will enable us a big consistency of better experiences and opportunities in our next education depending on how well we do. (I will have to perform outstanding to be able to impress), it's the same for my good pal Alex who you know as Hoopy/Total Hooper on both Twitter and YT.

I've considered this all over Easter and I've decided it's for the best. I will feel less stressed and much better without YT and Twitter in my mind, I've created/progressed some of my newest projects to a point where after 5/14, I can come back and resume.

Having only in my mind that there are no objectives/people to talk/attend to over this course will make this task far more controlled and relaxed. After I submit this post and a few additional tweets/notifications to people I talk to, I'll completely pause Twitter/YouTube following tonight or tommorow morning.

If you're wondering how long I'll be, I'm gone for the rest of April, more than half of May and a bit of June. Whether I'll come back in between May and June remains to be seen.

My final wishes to you as a community are to wish me strength and luck and occupy yourselves.

- This is John Arnold, editor/founder of Polyhax as well as from my associates.

Thank's all and we'll be back.

HUGE POLYHAX DEVELOPMENT

As of 22nd of March 2014, all of the sections of the site are under huge construction. We are working on creating the best experience for our viewers and users. During this development cycle, the site will be in a mess of loads of blank sections and sections undergoing big construction as we enhance the features and experience. The site is still in BETA development and will remain in BETA until we have the necessary viewership, production and domain.

We will notify you when development is complete, in the meantime please continue to enjoy the content we post on Twitter, Mixbit and YouTube.

Ultrasnorlax Channel HITS 1000 Subscribers!

On the 17th of March 2014, the Ultrasnorlax YouTube channel (created February 23rd 2011) has reached 1000 subscribers. It's not the number itself that so much signifies the achievement but the enigma of when I'd even get this far. Time for a more interesting and final reflection on all of this.

The first YouTube video I ever saw was "Spongebob In China" back in 2006. I grew up using the site on a very regular basis where I created Pokemon hack/glitch videos and uploaded them to Vimeo and even presentations. Over time I discovered what a desert Vimeo was and I turned my attention entirely to YouTube that following Christmas as I began my ROM hack of Pokemon Sapphire called Pokemon Limestone: Shadow Ops, inspired by the movie "TRON Legacy" as I implemented the arcade world to massive jungles and lakes.

When I began uploading screen captured playthroughs in March 2011 on YouTube, my expectations were far too high. Being the cocky kid I was back then, I expected to hit it big when in reality I only received a maximum of 15 views. My first ever subscriber was my brother who had been posting heavy metal videos on there for a good couple of years.

For that year I continued to post very crappy videos while trying to discover ways of promoting my content. I even went to the effort of posting shitty videos of me trying to get YT partnership with less than 50 subs. It wasn't until December 2011 when I hit 100 subs.

Since 2010 I had tried to create websites, the first being the UltraMunchlax and Ultrasnorlax blogs. Throughout 2012 I attempted to create networks and recruit people to make a unified system that turned to complete shit. This eventually became renamed Arno Network and then LAX Network.

I tried to use Yeousch to promote my content and the lazy management lead me to be furious with the service. It's such a long story you'd be drowned in it. Some of the moderators though were complete ass holes despite my stupidity.
I had only 300 subscribers by summer 2012 and I had continuously consumed my time of trying to become popular.

In 2013 I learned some truly hard lessons as I began moving away from LPs to reviews and Top 10s. Quality finally became a concern as I began using professional video editing software compared to MovieMaker

I was partnered my channel with Socialblade and Maker Studios in November 2012, where I completed the channel's contract in January 2013. I had reached 500 subscribers and began revamping LAX Network into POLYLAX the following May.

By 2014, the channel had reached over 850 subs and POLYLAX was changed to what it is now! POLYHAX and the channel is finally at 1000 subs. Over the years I continuously failed to predict when I'd reach that target and here I am now.

MIXBIT - THE NEW YOUTUBE

From today, POLYHAX is using a brand new video sharing service called "Mixbit" brought to you from the creators of YouTube. We will be posting all sorts of happenings on the site as well as other interesting content over the year, perhaps even filling the gaps for when we're not posting YouTube shows! We will continue to post awesome content on YouTube and Dailymotion.

MIXBIT will enable us to post awesome happenings in our real lives as well as other funny and interesting content/videos. Soon we will update the "BITWORK" page on this site once we're done with a few other things.

March Video Production News

This is not so much a list of upcoming videos, but another detailed update about the revamping of the content I will be making. Now before we start and go into the TL;DR laziness:

DRAWN TO LIFE AND SHADOWS OF ALMIA PLAYTHROUGHS ARE CANCELLED

Note that the keyword here is "Cancelled", they are not completely terminated from continuation into the blackening abyss like many of my other failed LPs. The uploading process is too time consuming and wasteful for low viewership during a critical and important time like this.

So what will fill the gap for when work isn't in progress? Either reviews/countdowns or short 1 minute humourous videos that could gain big views. I noticed this from a good friend of mine in RL who now has over 100,000 subscribers. This could be a smart move if it takes off. I think it will be time for the channel to take off into the 10,000 sub range once I finish my long winded stage of life in May/June.

To fill the gap further, I'm already working towards more piano covers and mainly the next "Hooplax" album. Hooplax - Cyan. Look at the music section for an overview.

Content is soon going to be posted on both YouTube and Dailymotion. Today DM gave me some great channel options, so eventually all of my TFW content will be uploaded to DM.

My main reason for starting to experiment with other video sites is because of my sudden disappointment of YouTube, maybe it's a midlife crisis sort of sickness, but it's when you realise what was once a inventive and exciting website has gradually turned completely soleless. Maybe I'm too much of a nostalgia googles, but I seem to feel more and more isolated with all these big desolated layouts from the rest of the community when every channel wasn't the same.

If you don't know already, Totalhooper will be back this upcoming summer as we celebrate in triumph of this great finish. I'm also collaborating with a Twitter user called "LIGHTNINGWATTS" on some review projects. I can also confirm Top 50s will return sometime in the near future.

There hasn't been any proper content for three whole weeks other than the two playthrough parts I uploaded two weeks ago.

Something new should come this weekend and I'll work on a new review/countdown every weekend evening from now on.

Big Ultrasnorlax Update

I've talked about a big revamp in the content I style and create recently and on the 23rd February 2013 I upgraded TFW mascot with a jacket and arms. It's been three years now since I started the channel and I think it's time to move forward a much bigger step.

The past few months have been a big convience in posting a great mixture of videos to see how successful and unsuccessful certain projects have been. I have seen enough in 2014 to know what needs to be done to stay successful as a channel.

As much as it pains me, I feel there is no need for me to continue doing playthroughs, especially at this stage. They are getting very little views in comparison and they're a waste of editing/uploading. As much as I love making these videos, if they are not generating the necessary viewership I may as well talk to a brick wall.

I can't just pretend I have an audience like all my old playthrough videos. Criteria should be met. I've found that countdowns are far better at generating an audience. As for reviews, I need to be reviewing the right sort of games. I cannot continue to put loads of effort into a video like Sonic's Bane Part 1 and get less than 60 views in two weeks. The Flappy Bird Review is more along the lines.

Only once the channel has reached it's required potential should Drawn To Life and Shadows of Almia be resumed.

Site Name Change - POLYHAX

We've now changed the name of the video production network from Polylax to Polyhax. Part of the reason for this change is that we don't want any name collisions between Ultrasnorlax and Polylax.

We're also worried that people will remark it as polyLAXATIVES in the future as it grows. Technically you can still remark Polyhax as polyHAXATIVES but it's not as effect.

After nearly two years, we've put an end to this abominable play on words.

Drop down menus are still being developed, we've had to now program the Java script under a different format.

Rest In Peace Philip Seymour Hoffman

It's very sad news that Philip Seymour Hoffman has died at age 46 after 20 years of fighting drugs. He has been in many great films such as The Master, Boogie Nights and Red Dragon. He has been truly amazing and we hope that things will settle and turn up.

Ultrasnorlax hits 3 years

2014 is going to be a year of quite a few celebrations. There's the 1000 subscriber special, the 5th Anniversary of me uploading videos on the internet (Pre-Ultrasnorlax), the 2nd anniversary of The Foolish Warlock and most importantly the 3rd anniversary of my YouTube channel.

On the 23rd of Feb, my YouTube channel will turn 3. In 2013 I celebrated this with a montage of past memories and in 2014 I will probably do a podcast speech.

2014 is the year where TFW show should take off. If you haven't seen the trailer for "Sonic's Bane - Part 1" go to my channel and check it out now. Whenever I have that tiny bit of spare time, work will go into it. There's a lot if production involved, the fight scenes have now been edited and the actual scripting and recording should happen this weekend.

They'll be some news soon on the next TotalHooper series, if you're very lucky, it may be arranged sometime soon or in June when everything is finished.

No More Reviews Until June 2014

Countdowns maybe, but reviews; just no. You knew this time was coming where I'd had to suspend projects to focus on life changing exams but I've managed to have that extra time on weekend evenings to make playthrough videos. Part of my decision to suspend reviews until June is so I can change my reviews into a cinematic experience of entertainment.

You've seen critics like AVGN and others like him. I don't want to spend my reviews hurling text across the screen. I want to make reviews that are retro and entertaining, whether it be a negative or positive retrospective of a classic series, famous or infamous.

I do NOT want to be doing any of that dull "Analytical" bullshit of games, neither do I want to be an opinionated or flat out haughty critic like so many I've seen. They are the greyness of the internet and I refuse to partake in such dreary craft. I no longer care about whatever resolution or design rubbish about the games industry or be one of those pretentious realistic scums. I want to create art.

And as a result of my decisions to work on quality reviewing entertainment, I need the time to put in the good scripting.

In the meantime I'll upload a playthrough video weekly and maybe the very occasional top 10.

2013 Falls To It's Purge

It's yet again time for a dreary update... No, it's not really going to be dreary unless you're a dreary person.

I've tweeted on Twitter about recent plans and I will be cancelling Explorers of Sky and Majoras Mask. The video schedules are going to be bumpy for the first third of 2014 due to my examinations in May and June. I've made Twitter changes as well so I can stealthily pretend 2013 didn't happen.

2013 for me was a game of trust which was abused by people I gave alliance towards. For the whole of 2013 I was being fabricated by a person I least expected. I refused for this game to continue in 2014 which is why I have purged this once and for all. I only give trust to those truly noble.

As part of my effort to rid the past, I am no longer uploading EoS or MM, that is not for absolute final but EoS has gone for far too long, the fact I would continue a playthrough I started 2 years ago makes me feel like nothing's moved on. As much as I enjoy the game I don't feel it's right for me to continue it.

I'm eager to make an aftergame playthrough as things will be much different and I'll make it fresh starting from part 1. But for now I want to be a new person, I have another playthrough to go alongside Shadows of Almia that brings back wonderful memories and as well as this I'll make reviews and Top 10s when possible.

I'm going to hit 1000 subs sometime soon which is why I plan on making a two part special of something completely unexpected and ever so British.

I'm having great fun so far, studying all my subjects and creating minecraft PE maps and best of all is that I'm no longer following dreary games journalists on Twitter. Thank Buddha.

Thank's for reading all of this and I should have something interesting and new up soon.

The Big Year 2014

Heed my words; for 2014 is the biggest year for the Ultrasnorlax YT channel yet, it's a combination of challenges and a real game of decision making. I say that because I know what's coming for me in general, my main priority of doing well in my education wounds me like a sword to the chest, it's the very bane of my YouTube channel and it will go on until the end of May. I cannot afford to waste precious time which is why in a few days time Hell breaks loose one more and for final, because while I concentrate on getting the heights I require, my YouTube channel will still need to be in shape. Subscriber and View targets must be increased by 10 times as much in order to compete with both the bigger channels and channels on par right when I am most weak.

Ultimately my life and what I care for comes first and my YT channel comes second, I treat my channel like it's a kingdom almost, the more work and strategy you put into it; the bigger the population of that kingdom expands and increases. I have being producing videos for four and half years to get to this stage and while I feel that most of that time has been wasted from 2009-2012, there is one thing that changes permanently and that is knowledge, once I have the knowledge to power the channel it will reach that stage.

Most people on YouTube and frankly just a lot of people don't see that in their vision. It's a small part of their life that's no more than a hobbie and yet they sometimes do far more successful than I have yet to accomplish. I'm not one of those people. I don't make YouTube videos purely for the fact they will get views and lots of success, I do what I enjoy and if I do gain a greater deal of populairty I will live forward in the knowledge that I worked hard for it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this as it practically sums everything up.
